Just about managed to catch this before it finished. Fantastic exhibition, not only in terms of how it relates to my FMP but just as a body of work. Initially I was a bit sceptical of its location, with it being in a large industrial unit (Ambika 3,  http://www.anthonymccall.com/) quite set back from Marleybone Rd. However, after adhering to the signs which warn you it to take a few minutes for your eyes to become accustomed to the dark light, I realised the scale and atmosphere was really captivating. As the beams of light moved in random patterns and swirls, it was strange to pass your hand through the 'wall of light' as instinctively you would expect to feel the presence of a physical surface but actually this is just an optical illusion created by the smoke and lasers. Its this optical trickery which I've touched on in my sketchbook/journal. Its my interest in the human condition and use of mental manipulation that takes place which helps me really connect with McCall's work. Great exhibition for photos!... 8/10
